New president of the Management Board of PTIA

The members of PZPO include the largest tire manufacturers in the world

The president of the board of the Polish Tyre Industry Association (PTIA) for 2022 become Radosław Bółkowski (Bridgestone), while Dariusz Wójcik (Continental) and Jacek Pryczek (Goodyear) were appointed for the vice-presidents. Krzysztof Święch also joined the management board as a new representative of Trelleborg, replacing Andrzej Włodarczyk.

Association members are the largest tyre producers in Poland and in the world. They represent the industry employing over 11,000 employees in 6 factories and trading companies directly in our country. Every day, these factories leave more than 130,000 tyres marked "made in Poland" for passenger cars, trucks, buses, and agricultural and industrial machines.

– The union conducts many educational campaigns and informs about the best practices in caring for tyres. On the one hand, we provide technical and training support to service stations – showing how important accuracy and care are in working with tyres. On the other hand, we make drivers aware that they are the only point of contact between their cars and the road. In both cases, we work to improve road safety. Contemporary tyres from renowned manufacturers are technologically advanced products using innovative solutions and high-quality components. Although they are apparently all black and round – the differences are much greater than it may seem – modern rubber compound, advanced polymers, braking distance and cornering, skid resistance. This is one of the reasons that decent tyres differ from the cheapest ones. It is worth paying more attention to adjust them well to your own vehicle and needs – points out Radosław Bółkowski, new president of the Management Board of the Polish Tyre Industry Association (PTIA).
