Nokian Tyres has joined the group of members of the Polish Tyre Industry Association (PTIA), and its representative – Marcin Bardecki – has been appointed to the board of the association. The members of PTIA are the world's largest producers of high-quality tyres – they represent the industry hiring 11,000 employees in Poland directly in 6 factories and trading companies, producing high-tech products for export and the internal market. PTIA conducts information and educational activities, and pays a lot of attention to environmental protection as well as social responsibility.

Marcin Bardecki, a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, began his adventure with the tyre industry in 1993. He worked 15 years for Bridgestone, one year for ITR (Yokohama). He has been working at Nokian Tyres since February 2016, and in September 2020 he has become the president of the management board of the company's Polish branch.
