November 14th , 2013 was a special day for Polish Tyre Industry Association because of press conference and evening gala inaugurating the activities of the PTIA. During press conference journalists learned about the results of a report prepared by the Millward Brown for PTIA – ‘The study of public opinion on the awareness of the importance of tyres for driving safety and protection of the environment ‘. Our special guest was Fazilet Cinaralp from the General Secretary of ETRMA (European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers' Association) , who presented the tyre industry from a European perspective. The evening gala was held at the Sheraton Hotel, which was attended by industry representatives, ministries and ambassadors. Opening speeches were delivered by Jerzy Witold Pietrewicz, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy, Jacek Męcina, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Patrick LEPERCQ, President ETRMA and Armand Dahi, PTIA President.
