Polish Tyre Industry Association supporting partner of Partnership for Road Safety

 

Partnership for Road Safety Association focuses on road safety improvement as well as reducing number of road accident victims in Poland. Polish Tyre Industry Association is its supporting partner.

Partnership for Road Safety is an independent institution of representatives of the three sectors of public life: business, government and non-governmental organizations. The aim of the Partnership is to reduce the number of road accident victims and financial losses incurred as a result of the accidents. The Association is the knowledge competence and promotion centre for road safety.

The Partnership monitors the situation on road safety in Poland, as well as initiates public discussion thanks to regular conferences and meetings, such as Forum for Road Safety and Road Safety Roundtable. It participates in legislative process and collaborates with institutions responsible for the road safety. Additionally it conducts training, educational and consultation activities.

Partnership for Road Safety and Polish Tyre Industry Association have a common goal, which is road safety improvement – says Piotr Sarnecki, General Director of PTIA -  That is why permanent education and increasing drivers’ awareness on their personal impact on road safety is so important.  

Partnership for Road Safety is  a member of the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) in Geneva. It is an international organization conducting activities regarding permanent reduction of the road accidents’ number in countries undergoing the transition process. National Road Safety Council and World Bank are Partnership’s patrons in Poland.
